Fertiliser subsidies in India, particularly on urea, have skewed nutrient application towards excessive nitrogen (N) use and underutilisation of phosphorus (P), potassium (K), and micronutrients. Challenges Due to Nutrient Imbalance:
Declining Soil Health:
