The PM Internship Scheme (PMIS) was announced in Budget 2024–25 to boost youth employability.
The scheme targets 1 crore internships in top 500 companies over a period of five years.
It is managed by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) through the online portal.
Internships are offered for a duration of 12 months.
Reservation is provided for SCs, STs, OBCs, and persons with disabilities as per government norms.
It includes sectors such as pharma, auto, agriculture, and healthcare.
