What is the Bhavishya Platform?
Bhavishya is an online pension processing and tracking system for Central Government civil employees. It provides a single-window system for processing pensions from the retirement stage itself.
Launched by: Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW), Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.
Key Features: Single Pension Application (Form 6-A), e-sign integration, real-time status tracking, end-to-end digital processing, and integration with CGHS (Central Government Health Scheme).

Average time for PPO issuance reduced to 64 days
73% of superannuation PPOs issued on time
69% of family pension PPOs issued within 6 months in cases of in-service death
Ranked 3rd in NeSDA 2021 (National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment)
Key Facts for Prelims
NPS (National Pension System): Regulated by the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) under the PFRDA Act, 2013. Replaced the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) for central government employees joining from January 1, 2004.
CGHS: Provides comprehensive healthcare facilities to Central Government employees, pensioners, and their dependents. Bhavishya integrates with CGHS for seamless benefits.
