Why it Matters? 

  • India joined the first-ever Quad-at-Sea Ship Observer Mission in June 2025 to enhance maritime interoperability and domain awareness under the Wilmington Declaration.

  • The Wilmington Declaration was adopted on 21 September 2024 during the sixth Quad Leaders’ Summit held in Wilmington, Delaware, USA. 

  • The Wilmington Declaration was launched to advance the QUAD agenda in the Indo-Pacific region.

  • Quad Cancer Moonshot aims to combat cervical cancer and save lives in the Indo-Pacific. 

  • Quad Ports of the Future Partnership was announced to support sustainable port infrastructure using shared expertise. 

  • A Semiconductor Supply Chain Contingency Network Memorandum of Cooperation was signed to strengthen semiconductor supply chain resilience. 

  • Quad countries committed to boosting energy efficiency, including the manufacturing and deployment of affordable high-efficiency cooling systems. 

  • India will establish a space-based web portal for Mauritius to promote open science and support climate and extreme weather monitoring. 

  • Maritime Initiative for Training in the Indo-Pacific (MAITRI) was launched to utilize tools under the Indo-Pacific Partnership for Maritime Domain Awareness.
