About Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti:
He was born in 530 AH (1136 AD) in Sanjar, Sistan (Iran)
He was a direct descendant of the Holy Prophet through both his parents Hasani and Husseini Syed.
He arrived in India during the rule of Prithviraj Chauhan and eventually settled in Ajmer.
He is popularly known as Gharib Nawaz due to his compassion and service to humanity.
Contributions & Teachings:
The Chishti order which later became the most influential and popular sufi order in India, originated in Herat and was introduced in India by Khwaja Muinuddin Chishti.
He interpreted religion in terms of human service and invited people to the path of truth.
He trained prominent disciples who continued his mission
