National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment (NeSDA)

1. National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment (NeSDA)

Why In News:

The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) has officially launched the dedicated data-collection portal for the National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment (NeSDA) 2025 to evaluate digital governance standards across India.

Prelims Ready Notes:

NeSDA is a biennial assessment framework designed to measure the depth, availability, accessibility, and overall maturity of existing e-Governance service delivery.

The framework is adapted from the Online Service Index (OSI) of the United Nations e-Government Survey.

The assessment spans both Government-to-Citizen (G2C) and Government-to-Business (G2B) services across core public sectors.

The 2025 framework includes a fresh expansion to evaluate services under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

Under the NeSDA 2025 cycle, a total of 59 mandatory services will be assessed for every State and Union Territory, along with 43 services across Central Ministries and Departments.

Portals and services are strictly benchmarked across a broad multi-parameter matrix:

Accessibility

Content Availability

Ease of Use

Information Security and Privacy

End Service Delivery

Integrated Service Delivery

Status and Request Tracking

Open Government Data (OGD)

E-Participation
