Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4)
Why it Matters?
The 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) will be held from 30 June to 3 July 2025 in Seville, Spain.
What You Should Know?
FfD4 aims to address new and emerging global financing challenges and support the full implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The conference will focus on reforming the international financial architecture to make it more inclusive and development-oriented.
FfD4 will review progress on key global agreements, including the Monterrey Consensus (2002), the Doha Declaration (2008), and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda (2015).
It is the only global forum that brings together governments, international institutions, businesses, civil society, and the UN system to discuss financing development.
As part of the lead-up to FfD4, 59 partner countries (as of 11 December 2024) are participating in the 2023–2026 Global Partnership Monitoring Exercise.
This monitoring tracks country-level progress on achieving more effective development cooperation.
An early harvest of results from this monitoring exercise is expected to be presented before FfD4.
The focus is on improving development effectiveness as a pathway to achieving sustainable development outcomes globally.
