What is NeVA?
National e-Vidhan Application is a digital platform for paperless functioning of India's legislatures launched under the Digital India Mission.
Nodal Ministry: Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, implemented through the NeVA e-Vidhan Cell.
One Nation, One Application: Envisages a single, unified digital platform connecting Parliament with all State and Union Territory legislatures.
Key Features
Unified national platform: Brings all legislatures across the country onto a single platform, creating a comprehensive data repository without the complexity of multiple applications.
Paperless processes: Enables e-notices, e-bills and e-questions to be tabled and processed digitally.
Real time proceedings: Provides committee management and live tracking of legislative business.
Cloud based platform: NeVA is hosted centrally, giving citizens access to the status of bills and legislative proceedings.
Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI): NeVA complements platforms like DigiLocker, UMANG and MyGov as part of India's e-governance stack.

Digital India Mission: The Programme, launched in 2015, aims to transform India into a digitally empowered society and a knowledge-based economy.
Its core objectives include strengthening digital infrastructure, delivering government services digitally, and promoting digital and financial inclusion.
As a result of sustained digital initiatives, internet subscriptions in India have risen sharply from about 25 crore in 2014 to over 109 crore in recent years, reflecting rapid expansion in digital connectivity across the country.
